Staying Well-Balanced in an Off-Kilter World

Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man does not live on bread alone, but every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” Matthew 4:4
I, for one, enjoy eating three meals a day, plus snacks, and if I happen to miss a meal, my stomach is the first to remind me. But did you know we’re in need of God’s word as much as we are food? How easy it is to forget! God knew we’d be prone to spiritual forgetfulness, He even placed reminders in His word.
So I’ve decided to make a Spiritual Nutrition Guide, a list of verses to help us stay in fellowship with the Lord and to fill our hearts and minds with Biblical truth throughout the day. Please feel free to print this out for your family or friends, or to cut and post it on a bathroom mirror, car steering wheel, fridge, etc. It is my prayer that while we’re bombarded with temptations and hardships that pull us from different directions or perhaps storms that rage with no end in sight, that we will continue to fight the good fight and stay spiritually healthy.
